Rayalaseema MLAs to meet Congress central leadership, says Minister TG Venkatesh

Minor Irrigation minister T G Venkatesh, who is also the convener of the Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika said that MLAs from the Rayalaseema region will visit Delhi on October 3, 2012 in a bid to present their views before the Congress High command in the back drop of the Telangana March which is said to be a success for the TRS cadre.

Speaking to reporters, Venkatesh said that protecting the rights of Rayalaseema region is more important keeping in view of the backwardness of the region. He said that the delegation will pressure the Centre for implementation of Sri Bagh Agreement and would exert pressure for a special package for the region. The leaders of the region are basically against for bifurcation and even in the event of such a bifurcation, they will demand a separate State, he said.
