PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana says that their posts are appointed by AICC

Ruling out the rumors over the possible change of leadership in the State, the Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana speaking to media on Wednesday said that no body holds the posts of Chief Minister or PCC president forever. He said that they have to quit as and when the party high command wants.

He claimed that a section of media is airing rumors over the possible change of Chief Minister and PCC president. Botcha Satyanarayana said that the media reports are strengthening the belief of the party MLAs in the rumors. The PCC president said both he and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy were nominated by the AICC president and not elected to these posts and has to quit as and when Sonia Gandhi wants them to.

Accuses opposition parties

He accused the Opposition parties of acting in an irresponsible manner at a time when the people are suffering due to floods and severe torrential rains. He supported the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy saying that he has acted on time and there was no delay in taking up relief and rehabilitation works. Stating that the official machinery were on high alert and there was no truth in delay in government's action in coming to the rescue of the flood affected areas.

Appoints District Congress presidents

The PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana has appointed in-charge Congress president for six districts and three city Congress committees instead of permanent chiefs. The appointed are V Rambhupal Reddy (Medak), N Narendra Yadav, (Srikakulam), Karanam Dharmasri (Visakhapatnam), A Rajasekhar Reddy (Chittoor), Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao (Guntur), Donthi Madhav Reddy (Warangal), William Harry (Kakinada), Nakka Sri Naresh (Rajahmundry), Adapa Nagendra Rao Prasad and Meesala Rajeswara Rao, working president (Vijayawada).
