  • Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu will walk for 18 kms on the fourth day of Vastunna Mee Kosam padayatra in Anantapur today.
  • The Telugu Desam Party MPs will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at 10 am today. They will handover a letter written by the TDP chief Chandrababu on the corrupt government in the State.
  • The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer LV Subramanyam has reviewed the arrangements for the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams today. The Brahmotsavams will be held from October 15 to 23. TTD are expecting a large number of devotees to offer prayers at the Tirumala temple as it also coincides with the Dasara festival holidays.
  • The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has seized South India Shopping Mall at Kukatpally in Hyderabad. The GHMC Commissioner Krishna Babu led a team to check the documents of the shopping mall. He gave instructions to seize the building as it was constructed without obtaining an occupancy certificate. The South India Shopping Mall was inaugurated by actor Mahesh Babu yesterday.
  • Revenue officials and railway police have seized ration rice that was being transported illegally in the Ramagiri passenger train at the Kagaznagar railway station in Adilabad. About 150 quintals of rice was seized while it is being transported to Maharashtra.
