  • Delegation seeks Rs.1 lakh crore special package for Rayalaseema
    The Minister for Major Irrigation TG Venkatesh led a delegation of MLAs and MLCs from Rayalaseema and met several union ministers in New Delhi urging for a special package for the Rayalaseema region.
    The delegation met Union Minister Vayalar Ravi, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and Minister for Water Resources Vincent H Pala. They urged the Union Government to release a special grant-in-aid of Rs.1 lakh crore to the Rayalaseema on the lines of package released to Sikkim for the development of the region.
  • TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao warns Lagadapati Rajagopal
    TRS MLA K Tarakarama Rao warned the Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal threatening him of serious consequences if he continued to hurt the sentiments of the Telangana people by making provocative statements. Speaking to media at Telangana Bhavan, he took strong exception to the claim of Lagadapati Rajagopal that only 30,000 people had attended for the Telangana March. KTR sarcastically remarked that they thought that Lagadapati is just deaf and dumb and with the statement, it is proved that he is also blind.
  • Police seize explosives material from two persons
    The police arrested two persons and seized a huge quantity of explosives from their van in Rajampeta mandal of Kadapa district. They seized 2,000 gelatin sticks, 1,250 kg of ammonium nitrate packed in 25 bags and 3,000 metre fuse wire from them when they were going to Chittoor from Kondapur. The Rajampeta rural inspector said that the Investigation is going on.
