  • The assembly session started in a disarray as the adjournment motions proposed were rejected by the Speaker Nadendla Manohar. The TDP legislators stormed to the podium demanding the Chief Minister to sack the corrupt ministers. Minister for legislative affairs D Sridhar Babu said that it is not proper to produce the GO files before the assembly when the CBI investigation is under progress.
  • The campaign phase for the bye-elections on March 18 will end today. All the political parties are making arrangements to make full use on the final day. Congress and Telugu Desam Parties are contesting in all the seven assembly constituencies, while TRS are in contest at five constituencies. CPI(M) is contesting in four, YSR Congress Party and BJP in one constituency.
  • Police have seized liquor bottles worth lakhs of rupees at the residence of TDP leader Srinivasa Rao in Ettem of Koduru mandal in Mahabubnagar district.
  • TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will address a public meeting in Station Ghanpur constituency today.
  • Set 1 was selected for the Intermediate second year examination today.
