  • The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given its verdict in favor of Nizamabad MLC Venkatrami Reddy. Congress candidate Venkatrami Reddy has challenged the election of TDP leader Narsareddy earlier and filed a petition in the High Court. Re-counting was done on the direction of the High Court and it was found that Venkatrami Reddy won by a margin of 9000 votes.
  • Namrata, the wife of Tollywood film actor Mahesh Babu has given birth to a girl at 8:15 am today. She delivered the baby at a private hospital in Hyderabad. The couple already has a four-year old son Gautam Krishna.
  • Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju said that he is against the idea of allowing devotees to get darshan of Lord Venkateswara in ration form. The TTD working committee meeting met today in Tirumala. Speaking to media later, Bapiraju said that they will resolve drinking water issue within a month.
  • PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana has left to New Delhi in the morning. He will meet Congress in-charge for state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad about the working committee, DCC presidents and other issues.
  • Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad has filed a bail petition in the Emaar properties case. The court has posted the case for July 30.
