State Government fixes Engineering College courses fee at Rs. 35,000

The State Government has fixed the common engineering fee at Rs. 35,000 per annum. The decision has come on Sunday following talks with the managements of the engineering colleges across the State. However, there will be no fee hike for MBA, MCA and B Pharmacy courses. The revised fee would be applicable for two years and is mandatory for the college managements to submit an undertaking stating that it is acceptable to them for the said period.

College managements demand withdrawal of ordinance

During the meet, the college managements has demanded the government to withdraw its recent ordinance that permits the committee to inspect their academic standards and infrastructure as a prerequisite for accepting the common fee structure. In the light of Supreme court ruling that the fee structure is equally applicable for both the management and merit quota.

EAMCET Counselling schedule on Monday

With the acceptance of the fee structure by majority of the college managements, it is likely that the government will announce the schedule date of EAMCET on Monday.
