  • Heavy police force is deployed in the Twin cities on the account of 'Black Day' being observed today. The black day is observed on December 6 every year to mark the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition. Police have enforced 144 section till Saturday. Traffic restrictions are also imposed in few places in the city. City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma has set up a camp at Old city and is monitoring the situation.
  • Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu held review meetings with the party leaders of Bodhan and Banswada assembly constituencies.
  • The Telangana Congress MPs have met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. The meeting lasted 45 minutes and was primarily focused on the Telangana issue. The MPs have urged Sonia Gandhi to take a decision on the Telangana issue soon.
  • The RDO officials have seized 5 tonnes of Red Sandalwood worth Rs. 2 crore at Janampeta in Mahabubnagar. The Sandalwood is being transported illegally to Hyderabad.
  • TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu will resume his 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' padayatra from Basara today. He will continue his padayatra through Mailapur, IIT college and would end the day at Bidravalli in Adilabad.
  • YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila will resume her 'Maro Praja Prashanam' padayatra from Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar.
