  • The bodies of the the software engineers who died in the Oklahoma car accident arrived in the city. The mortal remains of Phanindra Gade, Anurag Anthati, Srinivas Ravikanth and Venkata Rao Maddala who died in the accident have arrived. It may be recalled that all these software engineers died in a road accident.
  • The hospital authorities, in a medical bulletin, said that one more infant died at the SVRRGC hospital. The bulletin said that 69 infants have been admitted and out of them the condition of 25 infants are critical.
  • Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) says discussion of Telangana issue in Rajya Sabha exposed UPA stand on the issue.
  • Police arrested alleged naxals
    The police arrested three alleged naxals said to be belonging to the Praja Prathighatana group. The three arrested were identified as M Srini, Nageswara Rao and P Ilaiah. They all belong to Warangal district. They were arrested on the charges of extortion and police recovered two single barrel muzzle loading guns from them according to OSD.
  • President of India Pranab Mukherjee scheduled visit to Tirupati has been finalized. He will visit Tirupati on September 8 and will have darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on September 9. The President will inaugurate the Nandakam guest house, which was constructed at a cost of Rs. 30 cores. He will return to Delhi on September 9 in the evening.
