  • TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu reached Hyderabad in the morning today. He spent yesterday in Tirupati kicking-off the by-election campaign. Chandrababu Naidu offered prayers at the Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati yesterday and later visited the site where he the bomb blast in 2004.
  • PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana has begun his two-day tour in Kadapa. Speaking to reporters, Botcha said that the party would announce its candidate for the by-election in another ten days. He said that since the number of leaders who are expecting to contest the by-poll on Congress ticket are more, the decision will take time. He expressed confidence that the party would win majority of the seats in the forthcoming by-elections.
  • YSR Congress Party leader Jupudi Prabhakar said that the Congress would lose a lot if their strategy is to criticize and defame the reputation of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Speaking to reporters in Tirupati, Prabhakar said that the dalit leaders criticizing YSR is unfair. He expressed confidence that the YSR CP will win all the 18 constituencies in the forthcoming by-polls.
