AICC rules out change in state leadership

AICC General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is also the in-charge of Andhra Pradesh congress party affairs ruled out the possibility of change of Chief Minister and the PCC president in the State.

Putting rest to the rumors that are on the air about the possible change of leadership, he dismissed the media reports as rumors and stressed there no such idea is in the minds of the Congress apex leadership. It is understood that the central leadership is not happy with the style of functioning of Kiran Kumar Reddy over the recent political developments with the MIM withdrawing support to the Congress.

Speaks to MIM chief Owaisi

On the recent developments in political parties in the State, Azad said that he had spoken to MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and added that they will have more discussions when the later comes to New Delhi for the Parliament session. Dismissing Owaisi's allegation, Azad said that a Congress Chief Minister cannot be communal and cannot think of it and added that the Congress is a secular party.

Summons PCC president to Delhi

Against these developments in the back drop, the AICC general secretary summoned the APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana to Delhi where the former will discuss the issue of MIM and also on the Telangana issue with the central leadership.
