  • TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu alleges that the Congress party failed to maintain law and order in the state. He says that the seven year congress rule hindered the development in the state.
  • Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met with State Congress affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and have discussed about the forthcoming byelection in Kadapa and Pulivendula for about an hour.
  • Desai Tippareddy, Meka Sesha Babu, Viswa Prasad, Vakati Narayana Reddy took oath as MLC's today. The oath taking ceremony was administered by proterm chairman Basawa Punnayya.
  • The leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee reported to the EC that the YSR Congress Party is publicizing their party symbol in Sakshi and other related tv channels. Speaking to the media after meeting Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal, the Congress party leaders expressed disappointment on the way EC reacted to their complaint.
  • Praja Rajyam Party rebel MLA Katasani Ramreddy met its chief K Chiranjeevi today. It is learnt that Ramreddy has requested Chiranjeevi not to file a disqualification petition against him and said that he decided to follow Chiranjeevi. Speaking to the reporters, Ramreddy criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy and said that he was not treated well by the Jagan's camp.
  • Suri Babu, a MRO at Chityala of Warangal district was caught red handed by the ACB while taking a bribe of Rs. 30,000 for issuing a no objection certificate.
  • MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi will be discharged soon. In a health bulletin released by the hospital authorities today, it is learnt that Akbaruddin is recuperating well and will be discharged soon.
  • Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will meet planning commission vice president Montek Singh Ahuwalia today. He is also likely to meet Congress high command to discuss about the forthcoming byelection.
  • Film star Junior NTR is a married man. At 2:41 in the morning today, Junior NTR has married Pranathi amidst thousands of fans, politicians and other film actors.
  • YSR Congress Party President Jagan Mohan Reddy complained to the district Collector Shashi Bhushan that minister DL Ravindranath Reddy is resorting to threating the people in Tudimeladinna of Kadapa district.
  • The Chandanotsavam at the Simhachalam temple began early today. The families of Pusapati Ananda Gajupati and Ashoka Gajupati Raju offered special prayers in the morning. Union Minister Pallam Raju also offered prayers on this special day.
  • Two were killed in clashes between two groups of the Congress party in Kadapa district. Pedda Subbarayudu, Lakshmi Narayana were murdered at Chennamarajupalle of Proddutur mandal.
  • The campaigning for the Kadapa and Pulivendula byelection will end at 5pm today.
  • A devotee from Tamil Nadu has offered 1 kg of gold to Raghavendra Swamy at Mantrayalam in Kurnool district.
  • The advance supplementary examinations of Intermedia will begin from May 27th. The first year exams will begin at 8 am and the second year at 2:30 pm. Practical examinations will be held between June 6 and 10th.
