  • The 30th anniversary of the Telugu Desam Party is celebrated today. TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu will felicitate 60 party workers who worked hard for the party. Chandrababu Naidu along with his party MLAs and MLCs paid tributes to TDP founder N T Rama Rao at the NTR Ghat on Necklace Road.
  • Jagan Mohan Reddy has unveiled the statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Lankapatnam on the second day of his Odarpu Yatra in Vijayanagaram district. Speaking at a public meeting, Jagan reminded the social welfare programmes introduced by the former Chief Minister.
  • Former TDP MLA, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy met with Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar Reddy today and urged him to approve his resignation. Speaking to the media, Pocharam said that he can go freely into the public once his resignation is approved. He charged the TDP for maintaining a double stand on the Telangana issue. Pocharam called on the Telangana people not to commit any more suicides for the sake of a separate Telangana state.
  • The Supreme Court of India has overruled the High Court's verdict quashing the appointment of Seshadri in the Tirmula Tirupati Devasthanam.
  • Minister of State for Human Resource Development Daggubati Purandeswari has inaugurated the Ignou Regional Centre in Visakhapatnam. The Vice chancellor of IGNOU Rajasekharan Pillai is also present in the inauguration function.
  • The APSRTC employees are holding state-wide protests today demanding the regularization of their jobs. Protests are being held in front of RM offices in every district.
