  • The Telangana Congress MPs and leaders will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday to discuss about the telangana issue.
  • TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu criticizes Jagan on the affidavit filed in High Court.
  • Labour Minister Danam Nagender Reddy welcomes Botcha Satyanarayana's appointment as PCC President.
  • Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhendar Reddy said that the newly appointed PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana favors separate Andhra and Telangana states. Speaking to media in Nalgonda, Sukhendar Reddy said that the Congress party has no threat in the Telangana regions, and Botcha was appointed to strengthen the party in Andhra region.
  • TDP leader Eraballi Dayakar Rao has reiterated that the party will vote for a separate Telangana state if a bill is passed in the parliament. He said that a whip will be issued if necessary. He also demanded the resignation of TRS MLAs who voted to the Congress party in the recent MLC elections.
  • Congress and MIM parties emerged victorious in the GHMC stand committee elections. Congress won 8 seats, while MIM won 7 seats. An independent candidate also won a seat.
  • Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will tour in Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts today and tomorrow. He will take part in farmers meet and other welfare programmes. Kiran Kumar has reached Visakhapatnam in the morning and has left to Srikakulam by a helicopter. He will take part in several development programmes tomorrow and will also speak at party's meeting in Visakhapatnam tomorrow.
  • Wyra MLA Chandravathi Banoth got married to her childhood friend Suresh today. CPI State Secretary K Narayana was present in the wedding. Speaker Nadendla Manohar Reddy signed as witness to the marriage. It is interesting to note that the parents of the bride and the groom opposed to the marriage.
  • Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met Governor ESL Narasimhan today. It is learnt that is a casual meeting after taking charge as Deputy Speaker.
  • PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana consoled former MP and senior congress leader G Venkataswamy at the Care hospital today.
  • The CPM party workers staged a rally opposing the Thermal Power Plant in Srikakulam. The police have arrested nearly 30 protesters as they don't have permission to stage a rally.
  • The APIIC has cancelled the land allocation to Suphalam Infra Company. There are several allegations that the former Collector of Nellore Ramgopal has given away 51 acres of land at a very cheap price.
  • Police have arrested Tollywood film producer Achyut Reddy in Hyderabad today. A cheating case has been filed against him. The police have received a complaint that Achyut Reddy committed to cheating to the tune of Rs. 2 crores.
