  • TRS President and MP K Chandrasekhar Rao told the media that he has issued a notice to propose an adjournment motion on Telangana issue in the Parliament. He threatened that he will go for a sit-in if the adjournment motion is not approved. He urged the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to cooperate with the formation of Telangana state.
  • Etela Rajender and KTR demands immediate release of students
  • The TDP MLA's have met Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy in the morning today. They requested the Chief Minister to give orders for the release of students who were arrested yesterday.
  • Social Welfare Minister Pitani Satyanarayana said that the funds for the reimbursement of fees will be released by July 15 as directed by the Supreme Court. It is known that the Supreme Court of India yesterday had directed the state government yesterday to pay the remaining amount in three instalments by July 15. He urged the colleges to respect the Supreme Court's verdict and withdraw their decision to go on a bandh.
  • The convocation of Acharya Nagarjuna University will be held on March 12, 2011. University Vice-Chancellor Hara Gopal Reddy told the media that famous columnist Kuldip Nayar will preside over as Chief Guest. He added that though Governor ESL Narasimhan was supposed to preside over the convocation, his visit has been canceled due to some other things.
  • Yesteryears tollywood film actor Mikkileni Radhakrishna passed away after a prolonged illness in Vijayawada. Radhakrishna was treated in a ventilator for the past three days. Mikkilineni Radhakrishna acted in more than 300 movies and is known for his roles in mythological films.
  • Bandh is being observed in various Telangana regions today.
  • Jagan's Hunger Strike reaches fifth day.
