  • The preparations for the SI written examinations to be held in Karimnagar on Saturday and Sunday have been completed. 3911 candidates from Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts will appear for the exam. Heavy police forces will be deployed to avoid any untoward situations. 144 section will be in effect for the next three days for up to 10 kilometers near the examination center.
  • President Pratibha Patil has issued orders for the removal of the 14F clause. A notification to that effect was released today by the Government. Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that with the removal of the 14F clause, Hyderabad will no longer be a part of the free zone and will be part of the sixth zone. Hyderabad along with Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar, Medak and Nizamabad districts are part of the sixth zone.
  • Minister Baswaraju Saraiah said that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has kept his promise in regard to the removal of the 14F clause. Minister Mukesh Goud also praised the Chief Minister's effort.
