  • Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar Reddy will meet with Advocate General today. The meeting is primarily to discuss the ineligibility petition on few MLAs in the assembly.

  • Telugu Desam Party Rajya Sabha MP Nandamuri Harikrishna has today invited TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to the wedding of his son Junior NTR.
  • Stamps and Registration minister Thota Narsimham predicted that Congress would sweep the Kadapa and Pulivendula byelection. Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam, Narasimham said that special registrar offices would be set up in Tirumala and Simhachalam. He said that 52 sub registrar officers would have their own premises in Zone 1.
  • The Telangana Congress MPs have urged the Government to abolish the GO 177 completely. They demanded the YSR Congress party to reveal their stand on the separate state of Telangana.
  • Union Minister Jaipal Reddy and State Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy were attacked by eggs by the locals in Nawabpet Mandal of Rangareddy district. Some of the locals hurled eggs against the ministers during a public meeting. The students raised slogans that they won't let Jaipal Reddy leave the place and questioned him on whose permission he entered the district. The students were frustrated that Jaipal Reddy took a year to visit Andhra Pradesh after becoming the union minister.
  • A major fire accident happened early in the morning at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. 3 Conveyer belts were completely damaged in the RMHB division. The estimated loss of damage is in crores of rupees.
  • Rs. 6.38 lakhs were recovered at the Chinnamandyam checkpost in Kadapa district. With the election code in effect, police are more vigilant on the movement of large amounts of cash in the district.
  • In a fresh health bulletin released, Dr. Safaya mentioned that the performance of the lungs of Sathya Sai Baba has improved. The report mentioned that Baba is still surviving on ventilator and dialysis is also being performed on him.
  • An eight year old boy was kidnapped and was held at ransom for Rs. 4 lakhs in Visakhapatnam. The parents of the boy have approached the police.
