KCR supports creation of High Court in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions

October 24, 2010 - Hyderabad

President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) justified the demand for creation of Andhra Pradesh High Court in the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions of the state. While supporting the demand, KCR suggested the advocates who are agitating, that they should demand for bifurcation of the State which would ensure a full-fledged High Court in the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions.

Chandrasekhar Rao felt that their demand is justified since there are as many as 2.4 lakh cases pending the High Court. He refused to comment on the disruption of the Congress party meeting at Mahabubnagar and said that it is the internal affair of the Congress party. He also criticized the government for not keeping its promise to extend 42 per cent quota for people from Telangana regions in legal posts.
