Health Minister Ravindranath Reddy ready to take on Jagan in Pulivendula By-elections

On the same day Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that his new party will be formed within the next 45 days, Health Minister and Kadapa MLA D L Ravindranath Reddy announced that he is ready to take on Jagan in the upcoming Pulivendula by-elections. Speaking to the media in Tirupati, Ravindranath Reddy who is also the brother-in-law of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and agriculture minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, said that he is ready to contest against Jagan if the Congress high command permits him to contest.

Ravindranath Reddy addressing a media conference said that he is ready to contest either Pulivendula by-election or Kadapa parliament seat if required. Downplaying the support Jagan is gathering in Pulivendula, he said that the support of Congress workers will be known when Jagan floats his new party. He made it clear that there is no dissidence in the cabinet ministers and said that Kiran Kumar Reddy will continue as Chief Minister till the 2014 assembly elections.

Ravindranath said that he solved the issue of the 104 employees after taking charge. He also told that he is working on addressing the demands of the junior doctors in the state. He told the media that a committee has been formed to study the problems of the MGM Staff nurses who went on a strike recently.

Ravindranath Reddy who is on his maiden visit to Tirupati after taking charge met with several local leaders and party workers.
