Takes extreme step following by humiliation by hostel warden

In a shocking incident, four students of a private nursing college attempted suicide allegedly unable to bear the harassment meted out to them by the warden of their hostel. At the college run by a corporate hospital in Hanumakonda, four nursing students from Kerala swallowed sleeping pills in a bid to commit suicide. They were rushed to the same hospital and doctors said that they were out of danger.

The students who took the extreme step allege that she used abusive language and humiliated them that prompted them to commit suicide. However, the college and hospital management refused to speak to media and even sent out the electronic media cameraman forcibly.

Warangal SP S Rajaiah visited thee hospital and interacted with the nursing students under going treatment. Number of students affiliated to various students unions reached the hospital and staged a demonstration. They demanded an explanation from the management. The students union representatives accused the management of trying to hide the incident without informing the police and media.
