Congress MP Vundavalli demands region wise allocations

Releases an open letter to Chief Minister

The Congress MP, Vundavalli Arun Kumar has urged the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah to release a white paper on the allocation of funds made to the three regions to ally apprehensions over the looting of Telanagana region by the people of other regions.

In an open letter to the the chief Minister, Arun Kumar said, coming out with a white paper in the three regions since formation of the State was the only solution to clarify the charges that the people of Coastal Andhra region exploited the Telanagana region. Unless, a proper clarification is issued on the charges of exploitation, people of the the coastal districts will remain as exploiters in the history, he said.

Arun Kumar further wanted the government to clear doubts that Telanagana was forcibly merged into the Andhra State against the wishes of the people. Arun Kumar recalled the State Cabinet always had representation from Telanagana Region and wondered as to why the representatives never raised these violations and recalled a statement made in the Legislative Assembly on July 18, 1996 by TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao who was then in TDP where he voiced his views against the zonal system and the six point formula.
