Show cause notice served to former Minister Konda Surekha

Notice issued for her critical comments against Rosaiah and Congress party

The third wicket has fallen in Jagan Mohan Reddy's camp with the serving of show cause notice to former Minister Konda Surekha on Wednesday. The notice is reportedly served to her for making critical remarks on Rosaiah and the State Congress Party. In the row of show cause notices issued to the supporters of Jagan Mohan Reddy by the Congress Disciplinary Action Committee, the first shot was fired at Ambati Rambabu, APCC General Secretary followed by the termination of services of Gattu Ramachandra Rao, Secretary of AP Kisan and Kheth Mazdoor Congress. Konda Surekha becomes the third to have had tasted rough weather for being a supporter of the Kadapa MP, the son of former Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

K Satyanarayana Raju, Chairman of the APCC's Disciplinary Action Committee said that the they have asked Surekha who has recently sent a 11-page letter to Congress supremo Ms. Sonia Gandhi, listing out the failures of the Congress Government and highlighting the political vacuum after the death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. She sought the AICC intervention to give Jagan Mohan Reddy a responsible position to set the things in order. The AICC cracked the whip against Konda Surekha by serving a show cause notice for her frequent out bursts against the party and Rosaiah's government.

Sources said that APCC President D Srinivas held a discussion with AICC General Secretary M Veerappa Moily in New Delhi while Satyanarayana Raju met the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah just before serving the show cause notice to Surekha. Reacting to the notice, Surekha said that she was prepared to face any consequences and she is well aware of the consequences for her letter and added that she dashed the letter to set the things to right and will dash another letter to AICC president shortly. She said that she had not received the show cause notice and will address after to the show cause notice.
