Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomes CBI probe in Obulapuram Mining Company affairs

Refutes report that says Jagan is linked to Karnataka Minister

The Congress MP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed the state government's decision to write to the Centre to seek a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the mining by OMC owned by Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a meeting of the MPs with the Chief Minister at Jubilee Hall on Tuesday, he said it is good to seek a CBI probe. He took a strong exception to the allegations leveled by Opposition parties that he had links with the controversial mine owner and asked what connection would have with OMC.

Jagan Mohan Reddy refuted a report linking him to the Karnataka Minister because a company promoted by the latter and Jagati Publications owned by him were functioning from the same building. He pointed out that the editorial director of Saakshi Telugu daily had already responded to allegations in this regard. Giving response to a question that he would campaign for Congress candidates in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Elections if the party directs him to do so, he said that he is yet to come out of grief of losing his father a couple of months ago.
