Governor ND Tiwari summons Assembly on June 3

Notification issued to this effect

The Governor, ND Tiwari has summoned the first session of the 13th Assembly on June 3. A separate notification was issued convening the Legislative Council on June 5. In a notification issued here on Thursday, the Governor summoned the Assembly at 10.30am.

The first day of the session will see the appointment of the pro-tem Speaker who will administer the oath of secrecy to the newly elected members. Sources in the Assembly Secretariat said that the notification for the Speaker's election would be issued on June 3 and nominations would be accepted on the same day. The election of Speaker would take place on the next day.
