CM finds fault with MP, says bank staffers are supporting the Government


The Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy has brought about a comprise between the agitating rural bank staff and Nagarkurnool MP, Manda Jagannadham. Jagannadham slapped the branch manager of a rural Bank of Uppunuthala, G Ravinder Reddy for not grounding the units sanctioned for SCs in Uppunuthala recently. Later, the MP tendered an unconditional apology to the Branch Manager through the media.

When the AP Regional Rural Bank Employees Association leaders lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister recently, the Chief Minister proposed to have a joint meeting with the MP and bankers. The Association president B Ravikanth and general secretary S Venkateswara Reddy and MP Jagannadham met the Chief Minister on Sunday at Begampet Airport.

In a brief meeting , the Chief Minister reportedly found fault with the MP and this was not the way to treat bank employees who were cooperating with the government said the Chief Minister. The association leaders and the MP shook hands in the presence of the Chief Minister and also resolved to compromise in the cases registered against each other at Atchampet police Station. The slapping incident sparked off protests and Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moil and AICC president Sonia Gandhi too enquiring about the incident.
