TDP asks government to file suo motu case against TRS president

Charges KCR for holding out threats against people from other regions settled in Hyderabad

The TDP asked the State Government to file a suo motu case against the TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao for holding out threats against people from other regions who have settled down in Hyderabad. Speaking at a media conference, TDP leaders T Srinivas Yadav, M Mahender Reddy and T Krishna Reddy accused Chandrasekhara Rao with resorting to blackmail politics and provoking attacks against settlers especially in Telugu film industry.

Referring to intemperate comments against the party president N Chandrababu Naidu, Yadav wondered what he did when he was Minister in TDP government. He found fault with the State Government for forgetting its primary responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of people and in dealing with leaders who were making provocative statements and holding out threats.

At a separate press conference, another senior leader, S Chandramohan Reddy condemned the attack on film industry and said every one had equal right of living in Hyderabad. He likened these attacks to those launched by Maharastra Navnirman Sena against Hindi speaking people in Mumbai. He said thanks to Chandrasekhara Rao, a major investment event of the CII scheduled in Hyderabad in January is likely to be shifted to elsewhere.
