Speaking at a media conference after he returned from New Delhi on Saturday, he made a fervent appeal to common people not to resort to indefinite fasts and think of their families lest something should happen to them. He cautioned that fasting political leaders would get all the attention and care unlike common people who were at a greater risk.

Narayan lashed out at the main political parties for using people's emotions to further their selfish ends, he said that fickle mindedness led to the current crisis. However, one positive fall out of the crisis was it made people see through the game plan of different political parties. He urged the youth and students not to succumb to emotions and spoil their future. Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan who discussed the political crisis in the State and possible way out with the UPA and opposition leaders in Delhi said Lok Satta based on its discussion with them was confident that the Centre would soon come out with an announcement to satisfy people of all regions.
