Four medicos arrested on ragging charges

Four more reported to be at large

The city police registered cases against eight senior students of Kakatiya Medical College and arrested four of them on a complaint of ragging. The four final year MBBS students, viz., B Rajkumar, Rajesh, Vikram and Srinivas were remanded to judicial custody for 15 days and were lodged in Central Prison. The other four were reportedly at large.

Despite tough rules laid by the Colleges and Universities on one side and Police taking severe action on those indulging in ragging practices, the menace continued at either colleges or at hostels.
