Orders served for repatriation as part of GO 610 implementation

600 employees so far identified as non-locals for repatriation

Hyderabad, June 28, 2007

With the deadline set up for implementation of GO 610 by June 30 by the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy for repatriation of non locals, the government has served transfer orders on non local employees on Thursday in several government departments. However, these orders will be effected on the basis of the preferences expressed by individual employees indicating the place with his or her native zone.

Nearly, 6000 employees have so far been identified as non locals for purposes of repatriation. They include staff belonging to Telangana but working elsewhere in the State. Employees categorized as State Cadre and working the Secretariat, Assembly etc., have been exempted from the repatriation.

The Chief Secretary J Harinarayan issued an order asking department heads and District Collectors not to spare any non local employee and to adhere to the original figures of non locals identified so far and furnished to them by the General Administration Department. The senior most employee must be transferred first according to the orders. All inter cadre transfers would have to be effected by the Secretary of the concerned department.
