7000 employees will be transferred within 15 days

Hyderabad, July 2, 2007

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy speaking to media on Monday said that all non locals working in Telangana in violation of the Presidential Orders will be transferred. He said orders transferring over 7000 employees will be issued within a fortnight.

He added that the government has identified 3162 personnel in Home Department including 175 Sub Inspectors and 3927 employees in other departments for repatriation to their native zones. The Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of GO 610 with the Group of Ministers has asked the officials to expedite the issuance of repatriation orders.

The government has decided to review the recruitments made right from 1975 to ensure that local were given their 80 percent share in employment. The Minister for Home K Jana Reddy said that though orders would be issued for repatriation of excess non locals in the Police department, the personnel would be continued on deputation for about one year so that the law and order problem should not suffer.
