Political parties complete seat sharing process half heartedly
Hyderabad, June 17, 2006
Major political parties have completed their task of high level meetings for the seat sharing process of many of the ZPTC and MPTC Panchayat Elections in a half hearted manner. Meanwhile, at the ground level, while some of the members have complied to their high command pacts and talks, others continued to file their nominations ignoring them.
On a broad level, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) is in pact with CPI. However, the party rejected CPI bid for five districts and the Karimnagar and Adilabad coal belt. On the other hand, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) who has shaken their hands with CPI(M) is still unclear when the later has put candidates for some 188 ZPTCs.
