IT authorities says new form is actually simpler

The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax DV Dharmik said that the returns could be filed till July 31. The 'Form 2F' was introduced for the benefit of resident Individual/Hindu Undivided family assesses. From August 1, the accesses falling in the two categories will have to file their returns through Form 2F only.
However, Schedule 5, pertaining to cash flow statement has been made optional for the current financial year, he said at a press conference. He said that the assesses need not attach any documents with Form 2F. No annexures are required to be attached with the form. The assesses need not be bothered with queries if the details furnished tally with the figures furnished in the form, he said.
