State Election Commision seeks report
Hyderabad, June 16, 2006The State Election Commission (SEC) directed the District Collectors concerned to submit a detailed report on the alleged auctioning to posts of Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) by the village communities in Nizamabad and Prakasam districts.
The MPTCs said to have been auctioned are the Hansapur, Nagapur and Kolipak in Nizamabad district and Poyinavaripalli and Devinutala in Prakasam district. SEC secretary GN Rao told to reporters that they have to contacted on the issue with the District Collectors concerned and they sought some time to gather information.
