To contest for both ZPTC and MPTC

Hyderabad, June 15, 2006

A meeting at the State unit of the Bharatiya Janatha Party took a decision to content in the upcoming ZPTC and MPTC local elections. The party would content in about 50% of MPTC segments and 40% of the ZPTC segments.

Sources says that the party is going to utilize the elections primarily to expand its base in the state. The party felt that the political atmosphere and the pact by TRS-Congress and CPI(M)-TDP only helps that party. BJP is also considering to work hard to make use of the Telangana statehood factor in the Telangana region.

State level leaders of the party are expected to the be taking party of the election campaigns in various parts.
