Barely a day after Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress was prepared to go it alone in the next elections, APCC President D Srinivas, on his part, came up with a statement that the door of the party are always open to all opposition parties except the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP).

Hyderabad, June 12, 2006

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters including an industrialist from Visakhapatnam on Monday joined Congress party in the presence of APCC president K.Keshava Rao at his house.

Earlier, Nageswarara Rao called on the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Nalgonda district president, T.Vijaya Simha Reddy who was suspended from his party also joined the Congress.
