Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh makes comeback to Indian squad

Indian star batsman who valiantly had a battle with cancer is back in the Indian squad for the Twenty20 World Cup. The tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from September 18 to October 7. Yuvraj is already part of the 30-member preliminary squad selected earlier. He is also part of the squad for the two T20 matches against New Zealand in September.

Yuvraj underwent chemotherapy treatment at the Cancer Research Institute in Boston and in Indiana. He was discharged from the hospital and returned to India in April. He last played a competitive cricket match for India in November 2011. Yuvraj played a competitive role in the World Cup last year which India won.

Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is also recalled to the squad after a gap of one year. Seamer Lakshmipathy Balaji is also making a comeback.

Meanwhile, the Indian team for the New Zealand series is also selected.
