Tsonga hoping to dance all the way to Wimbledon glory

July 1, 2012 - London

French tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is hoping to dance all the way to Wimbledon glory.

"This is something I did when I started on the Tour. It began at Queen's. The crowd gave me a standing ovation. Now, it's my brand and I like to do it," The Sun quoted Tsonga, as saying.

The World No 6 made light work of Slovak's Lukas Lacko to roar into the last 16 of the Wimbledon, and capped his 6-4 6-3 6-3 win with a jumping groove celebration at the packed Court One, where fans responded with a standing ovation.

Tsonga will now face American No 10 seed Mardy Fish after his 6-3, 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (8-6) win over David Goffin of Belgium, the Daily Express reports.

It's only the second time in 10 appearances that the 30-year-old has reached the fourth round and comes a few months after he had heart surgery.
