Manchester United

July 17, 2012 - Old Trafford

The priority of Manchester United is to recapture the Premier League title. Manchester United suffered a very close loss in the last season of Premier League losing to rivals Manchester City by goal difference. Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary manager of Manchester United said that they are desperate to regain the Premier League title again. Manchester United has won a record 19 league titles in the Premier League. They last won the title in 2010-11 season.

Ferguson said that Nemanja Vidic and Chris Smalling will return from injury to the squad at the star of season. The club also signed midfields Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa. Vidic was sidelined for almost eight months with a knee injury and has made only 11 appearances for the club last season. Smalling suffered a groin problem.

Manchester United will play their first game in the Premier League 2012-13 season against Everton on August 20. Ferguson is sure that Vidic will start the season, however has doubts on Jonny Evans who is still recovering from an ankle operation earlier in the summer.

Ferguson is the manager of the club since 1986 and Manchester City is looking for a suitable replacement to Fergie once he decides to retire.
