Michael Phelps finishes Olympic career with 22 medals

The most decorated Olympian in history has finished his final race with a gold-medal performance. Michael Phelps swam the butterfly leg of the men's 4x100-meter relay and Nathan Adrian brought victory home in the anchor leg of the race.

Phelps made his Olympic debut at the 2004 Olympics and ended his Olympic career at the London Olympics. He ended his Olympic career with 18 golds, two silver and two bronze taking his final tally to 22 medals. He won a gold in his last individual race Friday defeating his compatriot Ryan Lochte in the 200-meter individual medley.

Phelps, Lochte and their teammates helped US win 30 medals at the London Olympics in Swimming.
