India out of men's doubles event in Tennis at London Olympics

The second Indian pair in Men's doubles event at the 2012 London Olympics of Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan gave a tough fight but lost to second seeds Michael Llodra and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The India duo lost in three sets 6-7(3), 6-4, 3-6 in two hours and seven minutes on Wednesday.

In Tuesday, the other Indian pair and one of the favorites to win the men's doubles title Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna also lost their second round match. However, it's not all over for the Indian players in the tennis event. Sania Mirza and Leander Paes are still in contention in the mixed doubles event and will open their campaign on Thursday. They will play Ana Ivanovic and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia in their first round match.

2008 men's doubles title winners Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka also lost in the second round to Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 in the second round.
