Humphries transforms his Minnesota home into bachelor pad

January 26, 2012 - London

Kris Humphries is looking for a fresh start after his spilt with Kim Kardashian.

While the couple's divorce is under way, the basketball star has decided to remodel his Minnesota home and transform it into a bachelor pad.

The New Jersey Nets player, who was married to the 31-year-old reality star for a mere 72 days, has decorated his basement in the hope of moving on from his failed marriage.

Humphries painted his bedroom burgundy, and had his initials stencilled above his bed in white.

He has also installed a series of high-tech gadgets in order to compliment his new life as a single man.

"Remodelling my place felt great. It was the perfect way to kick off the season and have a fresh start," the Daily Mail quoted the sports star as saying in the new issue of Life and Style magazine.

To do this he took help of Jason Cameron and Tony Siragusa, the stars of DIY show 'Man Caves'.

"He wanted a cool, modern space where he could hang out with his buddies and play video games or watch TV. Kris is a nice guy. You could tell he was ready to start a new chapter in his life," Jason told the magazine.

"I look forward to spending my off-time here," Humphries added.
