Crouch is just like a big kid: Pulis

March 16, 2012 - London

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has described striker Peter Crouch as being just a big kid and commended him for his marvelous stint with the club, training like a 15-year-old.

Pulis hopes Crouch makes the rest of the season look like child's play to book his Euro 2012 ticket with England.

Pulis, who spent 10 million pounds to buy Crouch, wants the striker to engineer an FA Cup shock against his old side Liverpool on Sunday, The Daily Star reports.

Pulis said: "Crouchy has been marvellous from the day he walked through the door here. He trains like a 15-year-old - honestly. He is a throwback and a delight to be with. You have to chuck him off the training ground he's that enthusiastic."

But Pulis said it's not just the way Crouch goes about his job that has caught his eye.

"He's a top man off the pitch as well. He's good with the kids. People come up to him and badger him for auto- graphs all the time but he does the lot," he added.
