Balotelli's girlfriend ok with strip clubs 'if he doesn't do anything wrong'

March 7, 2012 - London

Mario Balotelli admitted that he was wrong to go to a strip club but added that his girlfriend Raffaella Fico has forgiven him.

The Manchester City striker was photographed outside a Liverpool strip club in the early hours of Friday morning, earning a rebuke from manager Roberto Mancini and a 250,000-pound fine.

"If she went to a male strip club, I'd be very p***** off. I didn't do anything bad. But if you love a woman, you have to restrain yourself," the Sun quoted him as saying.

Underwear model Fico, 23, then went on to say that she does not mind him ogling strippers as long as he behaves himself.

"When you are young you do things without thinking if they are wrong or right. You have the odd moment of madness.

"He can go to a strip club with friends, as long as he doesn't do anything wrong. He always comes back to me - I'm his favourite," she said.

Balotelli's saucy night out last Friday led to a 250,000-pound fine from furious Man City boss Roberto Mancini, who said marriage might calm down his wayward striker.

But Balotelli and fellow Italian Fico insisted that they have no immediate plans to tie the knot.

"For me, it's not soon. When you find the right person, it may be the time. Raffaella is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me.

"She gives me peace of mind and is understanding when I mess up," he said.

As for Fico, even she agreed with the footie star.

"Mario is a great guy. It's too early to talk about marriage. We're very young," she said.
