  • South Afican batsman Hashim Alma scored 150 (124) as they beat England by 80 runs to become the World No. 1 in ODI cricket. South Africa scored 287 in their fifty overs in the second ODI. England were all out for 207 runs. The first ODI was washed out due to rain.
  • Australia scored a hard fought win against Pakistan in the first of the three ODI series. Bowling first, Mitchell Starc picked up 5/42 as Australia restricted Pakistan to 198 runs. In reply, skipper Michael Clarke scored 66(96). In the end George Bailey 57*(88) and George Maxwell 38(38) helped Australia reach the target.
