Watson could do a Tendulkar soon, warns Hussey

April 13, 2011 - Dhaka

Middle order Australian batsman Mike Hussey believes opener Shane Watson may soon overtake Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar's top one-day international score of 200, after blasting the Australian record for a one-day international innings with an unbeaten 185 in the second one-day international against Bangladesh.

Watson's innings included 15 sixes and an equal number of boundaries.

"Watson's was a phenomenal innings and he's been able to put together quite a few in the last little period - the 161 not out against England [in January] was a pretty amazing innings too at the MCG," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hussey,as saying.

He added: "So, his consistency at being able to do it is pretty amazing."He just keeps seeming to raise the bar all the time, so I reckon he could do it again," he said.

Hussey said teammates were delighted to sit back and marvel, although some missed out.

Monday's win gave the visitors a 2-0 lead in the three-match series, which oncludes with a day-nighter today.
