Terry reveals two faces of Chelsea boss Villas-Boas

August 12, 2011 - London

Chelsea and England football captain John Terry has revealed how the two faces of coach Andre Villas-Boas will keep club stars on their toes in the fight for silverware this season.

Villas -Boas has told the Blues that they must hit the ground running when they open their Premier League campaign at Stoke on Sunday.

According to the Sun, Terry and his team-mates have realized that there is a Jekyll and Hyde quality to Villas-Boas, which means that any slip-up at the Britannia will not go down well at all.

Terry revealed that on one day Villas-Boas can be sweetness and light, and the next, a steaming inferno.

And that, says Terry, means the players can never get complacent on the pitch or around the training ground.

Terry sees many of the same qualities which he witnessed in Jose Mourinho's when Villas-Boas was one of The Special One's underlings.

Terry said: "Jose didn't like anyone getting close to the players, his own staff, his personal staff or masseurs. We had a good relationship with him but there were days you wouldn't have gone near him."

"You could have a laugh and a joke with Jose and that could change the following day. Andre is very much the same now as a manager," he added.
