Tennis star Andy Roddick to create own sportswear line for Lacoste

June 3, 2011 - New York

It has emerged that U.S. tennis star Andy Roddick would be teaming up with 'Lacoste' to launch his own line of sportswear.

According to 'Women's Wear' Daily, the collection would include polos, shorts, track pants and jackets.

Roddick admitted that when players go on the road, one's wardrobe is likely to suffer.

"On the tour, we practically live out of a suitcase. When packing, function will always win over style, which is why I am so impressed with this new collection," the New York Daily News quoted the sportstar as telling WWD.

The prices of the clothing would range from 85 dollars for a pair of shorts to 185 dollars for a track jacket.

Roddick, who has endorsed 'Lacoste' for the past six years, would wear the line exclusively when he hits the court.
