KKR relying on Yusuf Pathan to beat Rajasthan Royals

April 15, 2011 - Jaipur

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir is confident of winning of the next match against Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has been relying on star player Yusuf Pathan, who had played for the Rajasthan Royals in the first three IPL editions, for their today's match.

"We would be benefited as Yusuf Pathan has played few matches and also against the Rajasthan Royals team earlier. Our team would be benefited if Yusuf plays well tomorrow. The most important thing is that we have to play good cricket tomorrow. If we play well in the 40 overs we are a good team and we have a very good chance as well," said Gambhir.

The players of KKR sweated at the nets ahead of the crucial match against Shane Warne led Rajasthan Royals on Friday (April 15).

On the other side, Shaun Tait, player of Rajasthan Royals praised Warne and seemed confident of setting up a good bowling attack with the captain's support.

"India is normally a place where you come and think of bowling fast. The conditions for fast bowlers can be quiet challenging. The wicket was pretty good. It went nicely through the new ball. Lucky enough if we get couple of early wickets. It was a tough workday. Warne obviously is a pretty good player so he gonna hold me in my third over," said Tait.

Rajasthan Royals team is confident with consecutive win over Deccan Chargers and Delhi Dare Daredevils in the ongoing IPL match.

So far, KKR have one victory against Deccan Chargers and one loss against Chennai Super Kings.
