England coaching job will not be my last in football: Capello

October 27, 2011 - London

Italian Fabio Capello has said the England coaching job will not be his last in football.

He also insists he will not take over at troubled Inter Milan or any other club in his homeland, leaving open the possibility of a lucrative move to Qatar or another moneybags project.

The Sun quoted ex-AC Milan boss Capello, as saying: "I've been close to Inter on other occasions. It's not going to happen. Inter are a club I'll never get round to joining. It's like hitting a post. I'll go on to do something else after England but I won't manage an Italian club."

When Capello took over England in 2008, he said it would be his last job.

But as time has ticked down to his departure after next summer's Euro finals, he has been linked with roles such as leading an overhaul of Qatar football, ahead of them hosting the 2022 World Cup, and managing mega-rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
