ECB secures 20 million pound Investec Test sponsorship deal

August 20, 2011 - London

The England and Wales Cricket (ECB) is reportedly close to signing a four-year contract with the asset management banking company Investec to replace Npower as sponsors of Test cricket in the country.

According to The Telegraph, an announcement will not be made until after the ongoing Test between England and India at the Oval, which will be the last of Npower's 10-year association with the ECB.

Now believed to be in its final stages, the deal has come along just as Investec pulled out of sponsoring England rugby's autumninternationals.

The four-year deal will cover two Ashes contests in 2013 and 2015, as well as series against South Africa and India.

It will also compliment Investec's current deals on the shirts of Tottenham and for the Derby.
